With August arriving, it's time to start thinking about another season.
Autumn?
Sure, as the season commonly called fall marks the beginning of the six-production next season for the Grand Theatre in London.
You thought I might be thinking hockey and the London Knights. I certainly enjoy my involvement with Knights broadcasts on Rogers TV, but other forms of entertainment exist. There is more to life than sports – more than hockey, Mustangs football, the CFL, golf's President's Cup, and baseball pennant races.
Just like buying season's tickets to your favourite sports team includes ticket-price savings, better seats and other benefits, purchasing a subscription to the 2015-16 season at the Grand Theatre provides for perks such as access to seats for special events, discounts on buying extra tickets, and 25% off prices to see the high school project production of Hello Dolly.
All the schedules are noted below for The Grand Theatre which is part of Richmond Row in the Forest City (471 Richmond).

While the life and times of Buddy Holly and his demise in a plane crash is one of the true history pieces of stage musicals, I might prefer the comedy Fly Me To The Moon over all six selections.
Fly Me To The Moon is penned by Marie Jones and can somewhat be described as a story about someone winning a lottery, but passing away before they can redeem their fortune. What happens to the windfall? The just-found-riches character is the dead Davy Magee, but many have claims on the cash including two ladies named Loretta and Francis who can be labelled as caregivers of the deceased Davy.
The hands of Bryce Kulak and Richard Todd Adams are set to play the piano in 2 Pianos 4 Hands. Lots of details about the show's stars can be studied on Facebook at: 2 Pianos 4 Hands. Adams is accomplished as a musician, singer and actor, including playing Valjean in Les Miserables, Raoul in Phantom Of The Opera, plus appearing in man Of La Mancha and Ragtime in touring productions.

BACK TO SCHOOL
The high school musical for the autumn of 2015 is Hello Dolly, which made its debut in the mid-1960's.
The storyline might seem somewhat dated in our times – half a century later – with computer dating sites, but Dolly is a matchmaker.
Based on a Thornton Wilder writing, Hello Dolly was put to music by Jerry Herman and became known everywhere when Louis Armstrong had a No. 1 recording on the Billboard charts with the title song (See YouTube link below).
Carol Channing's best known work is starring as Dolly.
Hello Dolly was also a 1969 movie starring Barbra Streisand (1 year after Funny Girl), Walter Matthau as Horace, Michael Crawford as Cornelius, and also included Louis Armstrong in the cast.
Songs & Stories with astronaut Chris Hadfield is set for Oct. 7, while the John Steinbeck play Of Mice & Men is scheduled for Nov. 24 - Dec,. 5.

BUDWEISER GARDENS
London features two other significant venues for stage productions – Budweiser Gardens and Centennial Hall.
Menopause The Musical is currently playing at the rink at the corner of Dundas and Talbot. Later, October will bring Peter Pan On Ice and Alvin & The Chipmunks to The Bud.
