Long-time member of Lions Club of Woodstock

I love the Lions Club

One great way to volunteer within your community is to join a service club and I've been a member of The Lions Club of Woodstock for about 10 years.
This group of men and women is dedicated in many areas to raising money and running local events.
The Lions Club hosts an annual vendor fair in the late fall and donates proceeds to many area Christmas charities (Salvation Army, The Christmas Place, Ingamo, etc) and also hosts a Santa dinner for the Big Brother - Big Sisters.
Our group runs the beer garden on Canada Day and Cowapolooza in Southside Park, and I'm the person responsible for the special occasion permit and corralling the crew.
The Lions are the main group behind the Terry Fox Run in Woodstock (Countless community volunteers also assist obviously), run a bingo every Thursday at South Gate Centre, operate the food tent at Canada's Outdoor Farm Show, create a work crew to lend a hand at Relay For Life for the cancer society, donate dollars through our charitable response committee, supply 6 bursaries annually to graduating high school students, and the list goes on.

On Oct. 22, vote
Mark Schadenberg
for Woodstock City Council
The Time Is Now
