There's lots to do in the City Of Woodstock

Rec & Leisure Fair on March 6 to feature more than 50 tables
Learn about sports and hobby groups, singing and dancing, acting and even summer camps

As Woodstock Recreation Advisory Committee (WRAC) vice chair Dan Molinaro states at the end of his interview on Daytime Oxford on Rogers TV, there's lots to do in the City of Woodstock - many activities for youth, adults of all ages, and families.
The Rec & Leisure Fair hits year No. 12 on Sunday, March 6, 2-4 p.m. at Cowan Park on Ridgewood Road (Indoor and outdoor minor soccer complex at north end of Woodstock).

COWAN PARK

Admission is free and there's many door prizes, but as the chair of the WRAC I add that there truly is a great cross-section of events and organizations promoted.
If you ever thought of joining Theatre Woodstock, Fanshawe Singers, Oxford Winds concert band, or Woodstock Choralaires, for example, now that performer bug in you could want to join such a group, so Sunday is a great opportunity to learn more about many performance groups in Woodstock.
Youth sports are very varied -- dancing, minor soccer, badminton, martial arts, minor hockey, and even a triathlon club for kids and adults.
If you're new to Woodstock -- plan on attending this fair with more than 50 tables of brochures, posters and smiling faces.
Service clubs always seek new membership and have many events to promote such as the Rotary Club and its annual venture of organizing the dragon boat races on Pittock Lake in August.
If you're considering a new hobby, attend Sunday's info fair as there could be collectors galore such as coin clubs, photography and stamps, plus the always-popular booth set up by the remote control airplane club.

Sports and activities to be publicizing themselves range from fitness clubs to cricket to cycling to pickleball to disc golf to kayak and even hockey.
If history was your favourite subject in high school and you're intrigued by this area's heritage, you can pick up knowledge about the Oxford Historical Society.
Since there is a true agriculture base in Woodstock and Oxford County, there are some ag-related groups participating too.
One additional group of participants I like to mention is that since this is a City of Woodstock event, it's great to see City departments with tables such as the library, art gallery, museum and certainly swimming.

Woodstock does have a lot to offer for kids and adults of all ages.
Learn about many of these available activities on Sunday.
